Stantec is seeking a Staff Geologist or Field Scientist to support environmental site assessment and remediation projects. You will work under a Senior Geologist or Project Director on multi-disciplinary teams to advance field and office objectives.

This role emphasizes fieldwork, health and safety leadership, data management, technical reporting, and collaboration with clients to provide timely, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental site assessment and remediation projects.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with budget and schedule.
• Coordinating field activities and obtaining permits.
• Strong communication with project team and clients.
• Knowledge of health and safety documentation and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage tasks within scope, budget and schedule.
• Communicate daily with project team and clients.
• Assist with site assessment and remediation projects.
• Prepare health and safety documents and coordinate permits.
• Lead tailgate health and safety meetings and supervise drilling.
• Collect soil, soil vapor and groundwater samples and prepare logs.
• Prepare daily field reports and data management tasks.
• Support QA/QC reviews of fieldwork and deliverables.
• Prepare technical reports presenting findings and recommendations.
• Assist PM with project schedules, budgets and invoicing.
