Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join our Environmental Services team in Seattle, Bellevue, or Lynnwood, Washington. This role supports environmental assessment, investigation, and remediation projects across urban and industrial sites in the Pacific Northwest, with 3–7 years of experience in contaminated site work.

The position offers a mix of field and office duties, increasing opportunities for project coordination, client interaction, and multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
• Experience collecting, managing, and interpreting environmental data and preparing technical reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work independently.
• Ability to perform field work and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver''s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Willingness to travel periodically, including overnight travel.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening.
• Eligible for client-required random drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities with client representatives, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate field activities and mobilization of equipment and materials.
• Log soil samples for lithology and prepare soil boring logs.
• Plan and oversee monitoring well installation, development, maintenance, and abandonment.
• Perform environmental sampling of soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, soil vapor, and indoor air.
• Review and interpret analytical data and prepare technical reports.
• Communicate effectively with project teams, clients, regulators, and other stakeholders.
