Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join our Environmental Services team in Seattle, Bellevue, or Lynnwood, Washington. This role supports environmental assessment, investigation, and remediation projects at a variety of urban, industrial, and redevelopment sites throughout the Pacific Northwest.

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 7 years of environmental consulting experience with a focus on contaminated site investigation and MTCA/other regulatory programs,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, engineering, environmental science, chemistry, or related STEM discipline.
• 3–7 years of environmental site investigation, remediation, and regulatory compliance experience.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and current refresher.
• Washington State Licensed Geologist (LG) or Geologist-in-Training (GIT) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities with client representatives, regulators, and other stakeholders.
• Plan and oversee soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, and soil boring logs.
• Direct field activities and supervise drilling contractors and subcontractors.
• Prepare health and safety plans, study plans, and regulatory documentation.
• Prepare site investigation and remediation reports and present data.
