Generator Supercenter of College Station is seeking a Service Technician to travel to customer residences to repair and maintain whole-home standby generators. You will use company vehicles, read technical manuals and wiring diagrams, and update systems with service details.

The role emphasizes safety and customer communication. The schedule is typically Mon-Fri, 8 AM–5 PM, with potential variations for weather or emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electrical certification a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Problem-solving, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative.
• Must be physically able to perform job duties including bending, stooping, climbing ladders, pulling, grasping, and walking on uneven surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair backup standby power systems.
• Drive to customer residences and perform service calls.
• Communicate with customers regarding arrival and work performed.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair home Generac generators.
• Follow manuals, diagrams, and procedures.
• Document services performed using electronic system.
• Adhere to safety practices and requirements.
