Job summary

Cat5 Resources LLC is seeking a Generator Technician in Houston, TX to install, repair, and maintain back‑up power systems for telecoms and local businesses. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliability for critical infrastructure.

Experience with generators, electrical basics, and the ability to travel are essential. A valid driver’s license and DOT medical card are required. Competitive pay with benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of previous generator-related experience.
• Must be at least 25 years old.
• Must have a GED or High School Diploma.
• Basic electrical knowledge required.
• Willing to travel.
• Mechanical background with generators is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must pass drug and alcohol testing.
• DOT medical card required.
• Proficient in Windows MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform generator repairs on commercial units and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose generator issues.
• Keep updated on changes across various models.
• Evaluate and recommend necessary repairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
