Job summary

Cat5 Resources, LLC is seeking a Field Generator Technician in the Houston area to install, repair and maintain back-up power systems for telecoms and local businesses. The role requires hands-on generator work, diagnostics, and field service across customer sites.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of two years of generator experience, a GED, basic electrical knowledge, and the ability to travel. A valid driver’s license and the DOT medical card are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of generator experience required.
• Must be at least 25 years old.
• GED High School Diploma required.
• Willing to travel and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Repair commercial generators and perform preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose generator issues.
• Stay updated on changes across equipment models.
• Evaluate and recommend repairs as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
