Cat5 Resources, LLC is seeking a Field Generator Technician to install, repair and maintain back-up power systems for telecoms, local businesses and emergency services. The role requires hands-on diagnostics, troubleshooting and a commitment to safety and reliability.

The position offers on-site work within a 60-mile radius of the designated location, with a competitive hourly wage and benefits including a company vehicle and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 year(s) previous experience.
• Must be at least 23 years old.
• Must have GED/High School Diploma.
• Possess basic electrical knowledge.
• Must have mechanical background; generator mechanics a plus.
• Must have working knowledge of the position and its relation to business objectives.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Must pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Must be computer literate in Windows-based programs (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook).
• Must be dependable and able to work independently.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and bend/twist several times a day.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, travel and stay overnight.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and a safe work environment.
• DOT Medical Card required.

Responsibilities

• Able to perform generator repairs of commercial generators as well as preventative maintenance.
• Able to perform generator troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Maintains knowledge of updated changes in various models of equipment.
• Evaluates and recommends any required repairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
