Job summary
Bo's Generators & Power Support Partners is seeking a Service & Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on residential and light commercial standby generators. This home-based dispatch role travels to customer sites across the Bradenton/Sarasota area.
You will document findings, communicate with customers, and support a best-in-class service experience while adhering to safety standards.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of generator service or related technical work (electrical/mechanical/HVAC).
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Familiar with tablets/smartphones and service software.
- Ability to lift 50 lb and work outdoors in varying weather.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on residential and light commercial generators.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, fuel, and control system issues; troubleshoot failures.
- Complete repairs and test equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Create and document service tickets, inspection reports, and recommendations.
- Communicate findings clearly with customers before, during, and after service visits.
- Maintain inventory levels and coordinate with dispatch for parts and scheduling.
