Power Support Partners, Inc. is seeking a Service & Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on residential and light commercial standby generators.

This role operates from a home-based dispatch model, traveling to customer locations in the Bradenton and Sarasota area. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, mechanically inclined, and able to work independently while representing the company in customers' homes and businesses.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in generator service or related technical field.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and service software.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Experience servicing Generac, Kohler, Cummins, Briggs & Straton, or similar generator systems.
• Residential service experience and strong customer service skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform annual and semi-annual generator maintenance visits.
• Complete inspections, oil changes, filter replacements, battery testing, and operational checks.
• Identify potential issues before they become service failures.
• Document maintenance findings and recommendations.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, fuel, and control system issues.
• Troubleshoot generator failures and performance concerns.
• Complete repairs on residential and light commercial standby generators.
• Test the equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Communicate professionally with customers before, during, and after service visits.
• Explain findings and repair recommendations in a clear, customer-friendly manner.
• Represent the company with professionalism and integrity.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and deliver a best-in-class service experience.
• Accurately complete service tickets, inspection reports, and required documentation in Service Titan.
• Utilize company software and mobile applications to manage work orders.
• Maintain inventory levels and vehicle stock.
• Coordinate with dispatch and management regarding scheduling, parts needs, and customer follow-up.
