Job summary

Current Edge Solutions, LLC is seeking a Field Service Generator Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and diagnose engine-driven generators and switchgear in Savannah, GA. You will perform warranty work, start-up commissioning, and support customers with clear explanations and documentation.

The role requires 2+ years of field experience servicing engines, transfer switches, ATS, and related power systems, plus the ability to work independently, after-hours, and travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience servicing and repairing engines, including transfer switches and switchgear.
• Knowledge of power generation components, power electronics, electronic controls and fuel systems.
• Able to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Must have basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, repair, and rebuild engines, transfer switches, UPS, and switchgear systems.
• Troubleshoot and service ATS and generator controls; perform load bank testing.
• Diagnose systems and recommend preventive maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance on generators and related equipment.
• Provide written field service reports and communicate service actions to customers.
• Manage projects and provide guidance to other technicians.
• Assist other technicians on large multi-person jobs.
• Maintain stock and tools in the service vehicle.
• Work after hours, weekends, holidays, and rotating on-call shifts.
