Current Edge Solutions in Savannah, GA is seeking a Field Service Generator Technician responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing routine preventative maintenance and emergency services on generators and related systems.
You will work independently or with peers, perform warranty work, start-up/commissioning, and provide written service reports, with travel up to 20% and after-hours availability.
As aField Service Generator Technician is responsible for accurately troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing both routine preventative maintenance and emergency services while making repair recommendations to customers. You will perform warranty work per manufacture's guidelines, perform start-up/commissioning on new generators and generator systems. This position will work alone or with other Field Service Generator Technician's to ensure all work scheduled is performed safely and to the customer's satisfaction.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. The employee must comply with the assigned location PPE requirements including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing, and shields for required tasks and closed toed or safety shoes as required by facility safety policies.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and explosives. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, and toxic or caustic chemicals, in all weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
