Kinder Morgan is seeking a Field Compression Engineer to provide technical expertise for natural gas compression equipment. The role involves assisting with specifications, ensuring reliability, and maintaining safety and compliance across multiple field locations with substantial travel.

The position requires an engineering degree, 2+ years of relevant experience, and the ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, with strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

A 4-year Engineering degree from an accredited school.
Two years practical experience (post degree) in design and analysis of high pressure natural gas compressor systems.
Knowledge of natural gas compression equipment and mechanical design of gas compression equipment.

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise to support mechanical needs for customers.
Aid in specification of natural gas compression equipment to optimize performance and reliability.
Establish vendor relationships for equipment in the area.
Travel up to 50% to contractor or Kinder Morgan sites for technical support and meetings.
