Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a Field Compression Engineer to support mechanical needs for natural gas compression equipment across West Texas and New Mexico. Based in Odessa, TX, you will travel to site locations, engage with vendors, and help manage equipment specifications and budgets.

You will work with Operations to address annual needs and maintain safety standards while delivering reliable energy infrastructure services.

Qualifications

• 4-year Engineering degree from an accredited school.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to support mechanical needs for customers.
• Aid in specifying natural gas compression equipment for operating conditions.
• Establish vendor relationships for area equipment.
• Travel up to 50% to contractor or Kinder Morgan sites for support.
• Read and interpret mechanical/electrical/controls drawings.
