Job summary

Utilities Service, LLC is seeking a Foreperson to lead field crews, coordinate daily work, ensure safety, and manage costs. The role involves communicating with property owners, supervising crew training, and maintaining records of work completed.

The Foreperson will ensure proper execution of tasks, uphold safety standards per OSHA guidelines, and collaborate with supervisors to resolve issues in the field.

Qualifications

• Understanding drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to adjust to field requirements and work without close supervision.
• Ability to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining and instructs crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices and conducts safety training in line with company policies.
• Interacts with property owners/customers to discuss access and work details, referring complex cases to the General Foreperson.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Maintains accurate records, timesheets, and reports on crew performance.
• Controls crew costs and ensures effective use of people, methods, and equipment.
• Furnishes reports on orders completed, units of work, crew time, and damage repairs.
• Coordinates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
• Sets up barriers and safety measures to protect employees and the public.
