Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) in Braddock, PA, is hiring a full-time Foreman/Tank Builder to lead on-site construction, supervise crews, and coordinate with customers and subcontractors. You will ensure safety, quality, and productivity while managing field scope changes and budget adherence.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn. Experience in welding or related tank construction is a plus; candidates must be able to pass background checks

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Ability to solve problems and suggest improvements to systems.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality; reliable.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to field conditions.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Willing to authorize background checks.
• No criminal convictions for dishonesty, sexual misconduct, violence, or terrorism.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willing to submit to motor vehicle driving record checks.
• Willing to submit to pre-hire, random, and post-incident drug and alcohol testing.
• Welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide site supervision and lead on-site construction projects.
• Serve as point of contact with customers, vendors, and subcontractors on site.
• Maintain safety, quality, and productivity on site.
• Identify field-initiated scope changes and manage change orders.
• Foster a safety culture on the jobsite and ensure quality workmanship.
• Keep projects on time and within budget while balancing customer satisfaction.
• Provide craft knowledge in welding, structural erection, tank work, and rigging.
• Evaluate field employees and support promotions and training.
• Assist in recruiting field workers and managing resources.
