Job summary

DIGCO, a Quanta Services company, is seeking a Fleet Manager in Shreveport, LA. This hands-on role maintains DIGCO's fleet, heavy equipment, and support assets, ensuring equipment stays operational for underground gas utility construction operations.

Responsibilities include DOT compliance, preventive maintenance planning, vendor management, and field service support. The position demands travel within the district, overtime flexibility, and a strong focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience performing mechanical maintenance and repair on fleet vehicles, HDD equipment, heavy construction equipment.
• Reading and interpreting equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, maintenance records, and cost reports.
• Developing and adhering to preventive maintenance schedules.
• Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA recordkeeping, including DVIRs and maintenance files.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced field environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair fleet vehicles and heavy construction equipment as the primary duty.
• Perform field service calls at active job sites to restore equipment and minimize downtime.
• Maintain DOT maintenance files and regulatory documentation; keep audit-ready records.
• Coordinate with project managers to plan equipment deployment and availability.
• Safety-focused maintenance with cost-efficient fleet management and timely repairs.
• Travel within the district and work overtime or weekends as needed.
