Job summary

DIGCO, a Quanta Services company in Shreveport, LA, seeks a hands‑on Fleet Manager to lead maintenance of our fleet, heavy equipment, and support assets in underground gas utility construction operations. The role emphasizes shop and field mechanical work, DOT compliance, and vendor coordination.

You will develop preventive maintenance schedules, manage parts and supplier relations, and guide shop mechanics while ensuring safety and uptime across our service area.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on mechanical maintenance and repair of fleet assets.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read manuals and maintenance records.
• Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA recordkeeping.
• Strong organization and multitasking in field settings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Perform field service calls at active job sites.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform emergency repairs.
• Maintain DOT maintenance files and regulatory docs.
• Develop and manage a preventive maintenance schedule.
• Ensure DOT/FMCSA safety compliance.
• Source, order, and manage parts inventory.
• Coordinate with shop mechanics and project managers.
