Job summary

Encore Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to inspect, test, program, service, and troubleshoot a wide range of fire alarm systems across customer sites. You will work directly with customers, contractors, and internal teams, offering precise workmanship and clear communication.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid electrical license, driver’s license, and knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and OSHA. NICET certification in water-based systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or industry related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service, program, test, inspect, and troubleshoot both basic and complex fire alarm systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and corrective repairs in accordance with NFPA 72 and company standards.
• Identify code deficiencies and provide clear, professional recommendations for system improvements.
• Respond to emergency calls as required, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with contractors, building personnel, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
• Document service activities accurately, including findings, work performed, and parts used.
• Maintain clear communication with customers, supervisors, and office staff regarding status, next steps, and any concerns.
• Uphold Encore's commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction on every job site.
