Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Fire Alarm Systems Service Technician to perform service and maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems across Central and Northern Maine. The role emphasizes on-site customer interaction, testing, reporting, and mentoring junior technicians to foster growth within the team.

You will plan tasks with supervision, ensure code compliance, and coordinate with estimators and sales for repairs, while supporting customers with safety and building integrity in a field-based travel

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems.
Able to differentiate types/colors of wire, use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet, and lift up to 75 pounds unassisted.
NICET II Fire Alarm Certification.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Must have a valid driver’s license with limited violations and meet eligibility for Siemens fleet vehicle program.

Responsibilities

Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements.
Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs.
Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality.
Code Compliance: Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards.
Quote small repair jobs and provide detailed parts and labor requirements to estimators and sales for large repair projects.
Plan work with mentor, Lead Technicians, and Supervisors to strategize tasks effectively.
