Encore Fire Protection in the United States is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to maintain life-safety systems, inspect, test, program, service, and troubleshoot a wide range of fire alarm networks while moving between sites. This is a field-based role with autonomy and customer interaction.

You will work directly with customers, contractors, and internal teams, solving problems with precise work, clear communication, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical or industry experience preferred.
• Valid electrical license and willingness to travel within territory.
• NICET certification for water-based systems preferred.
• Three+ years of experience in inspecting, servicing, or repairing fire alarm systems.
• Ability to work independently and document work clearly.

Responsibilities

• Service, program, test, inspect, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and corrective repairs per NFPA 72 and standards.
• Identify code deficiencies and provide professional recommendations.
• Respond to emergency calls, including nights/weekends/on-call.
• Collaborate with contractors, building personnel, and internal teams.
• Document service activities and parts used.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and staff.
• Uphold safety, quality, and customer satisfaction on every job site.
