Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Fire Alarm Systems Service Technician to service and maintain commercial fire alarm systems across Central and Northern Maine. This field-based role involves customer-facing work and on-site testing.

You will inspect, test, and repair systems, generate reports, mentor junior technicians, and ensure code compliance. Travel is daily within Maine; valid US work authorization and NICET II are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in installation/maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems.
• Ability to differentiate wire types and colors; handle tools and equipment up to 75 pounds.
• NICET II Fire Alarm Certification.
• Valid driver's license with minimal violations; eligible for Siemens fleet vehicle program.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements.
• Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs.
• Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality.
• Code Compliance: Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards.
• Quote small repair jobs and provide detailed parts and labor requirements to estimators and sales for large repair projects.
• Plan work with mentor, Lead Technicians, and Supervisors to strategize tasks effectively.
