Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Fire Alarm Systems Service Technician to service and maintain commercial fire alarm systems across Central and Northern Maine, with regular same‑day travel and Brewer as a preferred location.

You will execute tests, generate inspection reports, troubleshoot issues, and mentor junior technicians while ensuring code compliance and customer satisfaction. A NICET II certification and valid US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems.
• Must be able and willing to differentiate types/colors of wire, use hand tools, laptop/tablet, and lift up to 75 pounds.
• NICET II Fire Alarm Certification.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements.
• Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs.
• Respond to, troubleshoot, and complete repairs to maintain system functionality; report on activities.
• Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to standards.
• Quote small repair jobs and provide parts/labor requirements for estimators and sales.
• Plan work with mentors and supervisors to strategize tasks.
