Job summary

Hardy Industries is seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support our national client base. This hands-on role goes beyond basic installations, including OTDR testing, fusion splicing, and fault diagnostics in diverse settings.

You will work in field environments such as retail, medical, corporate, and data centers, documenting results and collaborating with project stakeholders. This 1099 contractor position offers on-site pay and travel compensation around an 80-mile radius

Qualifications

• Fiber optic testing and troubleshooting experience required.
• Experience with OTDRs, power meters, light sources, fiber certification equipment.
• 1 year of fiber/IT/telecom experience, or 5+ years of field experience

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber optic and technical tasks including splicing, OTDR testing, and certification.
• Identify faults, document test results, and update records.
• Install, terminate, and test single-mode and multi-mode fiber.
• Work independently in diverse environments and coordinate with clients.
• Be available for service requests within territory
