Job summary

Dycom Industries, Inc. is seeking a Fiber Splicing Supervisor to coordinate field operations for FTTH OSP fiber construction. You will supervise crews, inspect work, and ensure compliance with company, state, and federal standards while maintaining safety and quality.

The role requires strong knowledge of fiber telecommunications construction, splicing equipment, and project-management fundamentals, with the ability to forecast resources and communicate progress to customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the fiber/telecom/construction industry.
• Supervision of construction or splicing crews; familiarity with splicing instruments.
• Project management skills: planning, organizing, coordinating tasks.
• Strong Microsoft Office computer skills.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license; background check and drug test.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Manage in-house and subcontracted resources performing OSP fiber plant work.
• Supervise, develop, and provide leadership to employees of assigned departments or projects.
• Oversee all onsite and offsite fiber construction to monitor compliance and safety regulations.
• Accurately forecast resource requirements based on completion deadlines.
• Ensure quality construction standards while using proper construction techniques.
• Communicate effectively with customers to inform them of project progress, issues and projected completion dates.
• Review tasks and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Develop a strong working relationship with managers to maximize new opportunities for revenue.
• Conduct pre-construction meetings.
