Job summary

IQ Fiber, LLC is seeking an Outside Plant Construction Technician for Savannah, GA. You will maintain and construct fiber optic plant, dig trenches, pull fiber, and relocate conduit while following safety standards and procedures.

The role requires neat appearance, teamwork, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions; prior telecom construction experience is preferred and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year telecommunications construction experience preferred.
• Must be able to work outside in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Maintain existing and construct new plant in the field (dig, trench, lay cable).
• Install, repair, and maintain inside fiber optic cables and MDU boxes.
• Locate and mark underground fiber cables from tickets.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and safety compliance.
• Assist with fiber cable damage restoration and troubleshooting.
• Other duties as assigned.
