Job summary

Uniti is seeking a Construction Tech - Splicer to join our field team. You will splice fiber optic and copper cables, construct proper splice cases, and maintain accurate splice records and drawings. Travel and overtime are common, with safety procedures guiding all on-site work.

Candidates should have 1 year of splicing experience or related trade training, ability to lift heavy loads, and a valid driver’s license with DOT readiness. Weekend and holiday work may be required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of copper and/or fiber cable splicing experience or trade school equivalence.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds.
• CDL eligibility and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Splice cables using hand tools, epoxy, or mechanical equipment.
• Splice fiber optic and copper cables including loose tube and ribbon types.
• Prepare and maintain splicing records, schematics, and diagrams.
• Interpret staking sheets and blueprints; ensure compliance with safety standards.
