Job summary

U.S. Facilities, Inc. seeks an Equipment Repair Technician to diagnose, repair, inspect and maintain motorized and mechanical equipment for a Southeast Virginia project. You’ll perform safety inspections, PMs, welding, and on-the-road repairs, while documenting work orders and maintaining compliance.

Requirements include a Class B CDL and DOT medical card, with ASE or refrigerant certification preferred. The role demands flexibility and readiness for 24/7 operations in a challenging environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; vocational training preferred.
• Minimum Class B CDL with DOT medical card; ability to obtain as needed.
• Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling certification preferred or obtainable after hire.
• ASE certifications or equivalents highly preferred.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing automotive, construction and maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle and equipment failures using manuals and diagnostics.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections per PM schedules.
• Operate diverse light to heavy-duty trucks safely; use welding and fabrication as required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and close out work orders in the system.
• Support emergency operations and be ready for after-hours demand.
