Job summary

Warren CAT in Abilene, TX seeks an outside sales professional to sell machine rental services to business and industrial customers. The role requires travel within the territory and building relationships with purchasing contacts to secure orders.

You will quote prices, prepare contracts, track deliveries, coordinate training, and collaborate with inside sales to maintain records. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred; valid driver license required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Compile lists of prospective customers for sales leads from various sources.
• Travel within assigned territory to solicit orders and meet customers.
• Demonstrate products using samples or catalogs and highlight features.
• Quote prices and credit terms; prepare sales contracts.
• Estimate delivery dates based on production and delivery schedules.
• Prepare reports of business transactions and manage expense accounts.
• Coordinate with inside sales to keep accounts updated and maintain literature.
• Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.
• Investigate and resolve delivery-related problems.
• Attend trade shows.
