Job summary

YBI Recruiting is hiring an Equipment Mechanic for a manufacturing client that builds and services specialized equipment used across utilities, telecom, construction, and infrastructure industries. This role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment with emphasis on safety, quality, and timely communication with supervisors and customers.

High school diploma or GED required; experience with heavy equipment repair and electrical/hydraulic systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience as a mechanic or technician.
• Background in heavy equipment repair.
• Experience with electrical and/or hydraulic systems.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical repair tasks safely.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and customer service.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair specialized heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Perform unit inspections and service reports.
• Use manuals to identify parts and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Communicate repair needs and timelines to supervisors and customers.
• Document all work in service records.
• Support team goals with a positive, professional attitude.
