Rogers Equipment Service- seeks an experienced Mobile Field Heavy Equipment Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair a range of medium and heavy-duty construction equipment at customer sites. The role involves travel to job sites, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring safety and reliability of equipment in the field.

The candidate will diagnose faults with manual and computerized testing equipment, service equipment, and collaborate with the team to complete service requests efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification as a heavy equipment mechanic a plus?
• Understanding of computer testing technologies.
• Ability to lift heavy parts.
• Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.
• Good communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on industrial equipment.
• Fabricate and install new components as needed.
• Utilize knowledge of HVAC/R systems and hydraulics to diagnose issues.
• Use voltmeters and other tools to test electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate records of all service calls using CMMS.
• Provide exceptional customer service during all interactions.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of service requests.

Mobile Field Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are looking to hire an experienced heavy equipment field mechanic with good attention to detail, who takes pride in their work. Applicants will need to be able to inspect, service, and maintain a wide range of medium and heavy-duty construction equipment. As a field mechanic, you will be responsible for driving to the job site, diagnosing, inspecting, repairing, and providing routine maintenance for customer’s equipment.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Care and maintenance of a service vehicle with crane.
• Inspecting trucks, loaders, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.
• Diagnosing faults using manual and computerized testing equipment.
• Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts.
• Repairing damaged equipment parts.
• Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty equipment and vehicles.
• Cleaning and servicing of work equipment like winches, blades, and booms.
• Performing major repair work when necessary.
• Consulting with other mechanics on difficult jobs.
• Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management and customers.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
