Job summary

YBI Recruiting is hiring an Equipment Mechanic for a manufacturing client that builds and services specialized equipment used across utilities, telecom, construction, and infrastructure industries. This role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment with emphasis on safety, quality, and timely communication with supervisors and customers.

High school diploma or GED required; experience with heavy equipment repair and electrical/hydraulic systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience as a mechanic or technician.
• Background in heavy equipment repair.
• Experience with electrical and/or hydraulic systems.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical repair tasks safely.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and customer service.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.

What You’ll Do:

As an Equipment Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing specialized heavy equipment used in power, telecom, and construction applications.

• Troubleshoot and repairelectrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Perform unit condition inspections and detailed service reports.
• Use technical resources and manuals to identify correct parts and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and customers about repair needs and timelines.
• Uphold all company safety policies and best practices.
• Accurately document all work performed in service records.
• Support team goals and maintain a positive, professional attitude in all interactions.

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Previous experience as a mechanic or technician, with a background inheavy equipment repair
• Hands-on experience with aerial devices, cranes, digger derricks, hydraulic systems, or similar machinery is a plus.
• Experience with electrical, and/or hydraulic systems.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical repair tasks safely.
