Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Ecologist/Biologist to participate in field surveys and reporting for gulf coast projects in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi and surrounding areas. You will work with a multidisciplinary team on NEPA, permitting, and habitat assessments, with field work and travel required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental discipline or related field.
• 2-5 years of ecological/biological field experience preferred.
• Experience leading field teams and preparing surveys/reports is desirable.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and conduct field work in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental field surveys and data collection.
• Assist in preparation of reports, tables, and maps for client and regulatory review.
• Support wetlands, streams, vegetation, and habitat assessments.
• Perform environmental monitoring during projects and collect GIS data.
• Coordinate with team members and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Maintain accurate field notes and data management.
