Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Environmental Scientist to lead permitting and environmental assessments across the Gulf region, including NEPA reviews and federal/state licensing. You’ll work on pipelines, LNG, and energy projects, with travel up to 75% and field work in Texas.

The role supports teams in acquiring permits and delivering compliance-focused solutions for complex projects. Qualifications include a degree in environmental science and 3–5 years' leadership of delineations; PWS certification

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or advanced degree in environmental science, rangeland science, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years leading delineations, Gulf Region preferred.
Local, state and federal permitting experience is a plus.
PWS or similar certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support projects and client relationships across natural gas, LNG, solar, and development.
Lead teams performing wetland delineations, species habitat characterization, and site surveys.
Coordinate agency communications and guide project teams to completion.
Prepare work plans, assemble teams, and ensure task scope and timing.
Develop QA/QC and safety plans; mentor junior staff.
