Job summary

Stantec’s gulf coast environmental services group is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Ecologist/Biologist to participate in environmental field surveys and reporting support for public and private clients.

The role includes field and office work with potential extensive travel across the gulf coast, engaging with a team of biologists, ecologists, and regulatory experts to support NEPA, habitat assessments, and environmental permitting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an environmental discipline.
• 2–5 years of ecological/biological survey experience.
• Experience leading field teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vegetation inventories and monitoring.
• Renewable energy construction monitoring.
• GPS data collection and mapping support.
• ArcGIS online mapping and data collection applications.
• Data management and analysis for reports and maps.
• Assist with portions of written reports for client and regulatory review.
• Wildlife surveys and habitat assessments.
• Endangered resource record reviews.
• Aquatic and coastal/marine assessments.
• Wetland and stream delineation and assessment.
• Environmental permit applications preparation.
