Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Environmental Engineer or Geologist to support field and office tasks, primarily 90% fieldwork at oil & gas facilities across Texas. The position is based in Midland, with up to 75% travel and no relocation assistance.

Responsibilities include groundwater sampling, remediation technology operation and maintenance, field documentation, and coordination to ensure safety and compliance. This role requires 4+ years of experience and HAZWOPER certification.

Qualifications

• 4+ years equivalent experience.
• HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain/maintain.
• Be physically fit for fieldwork up to 90% of the time and wear respirator if required.
• Driver’s license with no major infractions.

Responsibilities

• Perform groundwater sampling and other environmental media sampling as needed.
• Install, operate, and maintain remediation technologies.
• Data entry, field paperwork, and coordination/logistics for field efforts.
