Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Environmental Technician based in Midland, TX, performing field-focused environmental tasks for oil and gas facilities across Texas and New Mexico. The role blends field work (90%) with light office tasks (10%), emphasizing safety and accurate documentation for project teams.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in the field, HAZWOPER certification, valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of equivalent field experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office-based software.
• 40-hr HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain and maintain.
• Be physically fit to perform fieldwork up to 90% of the time, and wear a respirator as required.
• Valid driver’s license with no major infractions.
• Ability to participate in random drug testing (hair follicle samples).
• TWIC or ability to obtain and maintain.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Perform field sampling of groundwater and other media as needed.
• Installation, operation, and maintenance of remediation technologies.
• Document field activities and coordinate logistics for field efforts.
• Observe subcontractors and interact with clients, maintaining safety and schedule.
