Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Environmental Technician based in Texas/New Mexico to support field and office tasks. The role is predominantly fieldwork (about 90%) across oil and gas facilities with some office duties (about 10%).

You will sample groundwater and other media, help install and operate remediation systems, and document activities while coordinating with subcontractors and clients. Candidates should have 7+ years of relevant experience, HAZWOPER certification, a valid driver's license, and

Qualifications

7+ years equivalent experience in field environmental tech.
HAZWOPeR 40-hr certification or ability to obtain and maintain.
Experience with groundwater sampling and remediation tech.
Willingness to travel up to 75% and work in industrial facilities.
Valid driver’s license with clean record.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Willing to participate in random drug testing and pass hair follicle tests.

Responsibilities

Support field tasks 90% of the time and office tasks 10%.
Perform groundwater sampling and other environmental media sampling.
Assist in installation, operation, and maintenance of remediation technologies.
Document field activities and observe subcontractors on site and during data collection.
Communicate progress and status to project managers; ensure tasks stay on schedule and budget.
