Job summary

Jacobs seeks an Environmental Technician to support field and office tasks, primarily in oil & gas facilities across Texas and New Mexico. You will sample groundwater, operate remediation technologies, and document activities while coordinating logistics and health/safety compliance.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, HAZWOPER certification, and travel up to 75%. Based in Midland/Odessa, TX or Hobbs, NM with no relocation funds offered. Health benefits provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years equivalent experience.
• Experience with using Microsoft Office-based software.
• 40-hr HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain and maintain.
• Be physically fit to perform fieldwork within industrial facilities up to 90% of the time, and wear a respirator, if required.
• A valid driver’s license with no major infractions.
• Be able to participate in a random drug testing program, including hair follicle samples.
• TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) or ability to obtain and maintain.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Support field and office tasks across oil & gas facilities in TX/NM.
• Perform groundwater sampling and other environmental media as needed.
• Assist installation, operation, and maintenance of remediation technologies.
• Complete field paperwork and document activities on site.
• Coordinate logistics for field efforts and communicate status to project managers.
