Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Environmental Technician to support field and office tasks with a strong emphasis on safety and environmental compliance. You’ll work in oil and gas facilities across Texas and New Mexico, performing sampling, remediation tasks, and coordination with engineers, geologists, and consultants.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, HAZWOPER certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

2+ years of equivalent experience in environmental fieldwork.
Experience with Microsoft Office-based software.
40-hr HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain and maintain.
Physically capable of fieldwork up to 90% of the time and wearing respirator if required.
Valid driver’s license with clean record.
Ability to participate in random drug testing (hair follicle samples).
TWIC or ability to obtain and maintain.
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

Support field and technical project tasks, primarily field work in oil & gas facilities around Texas/New Mexico.
Coordinate data entry, logistics for field efforts, sample packaging and shipping.
Document field activities and communicate status to project managers.
Assist with safety and environmental compliance on site and in the office.
