Job summary

RRC Power and Energy is seeking an Engineering Technician I to support field testing, site inspections, and soil/concrete sampling across energy projects. This role requires extensive travel and outdoor work, with the ability to lift heavy objects and operate field testing equipment according to DOT/OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be able to travel extensively (95-100%).
• Experience with outside/field conditions and lifting heavy items.
• DOT or OSHA-related certifications are a plus or able to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day field tasks as assigned by Lead Technician or Project Manager.
• Assist with field testing and inspection activities for projects.
• Submit daily field reports and supporting documentation.
• Conduct soils, backfill, and compaction testing per specs.
• Operate testing equipment following safety requirements.
