Job summary

Harness Energy is seeking a Field Technician I to join a dynamic field team across diverse U.S. sites.

You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and dismantle wind and solar equipment, spending 1–2 weeks in the field at a time while staying in hotels and adapting to different environments. As part of a safety-first crew, you will complete daily safety docs, log DOT hours, and coordinate via Slack with management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and decommission meteorological towers or remote sensing units.
• Complete daily safety documentation (Job Hazard Analysis).
• Communicate with the manager via Slack for daily updates.
• Log hours daily for DOT compliance and timecards in ADP.
• Drive and operate DOT-certified trucks and trailers.
• Clean, maintain, and inventory tools and equipment.
• Travel frequently to project sites for extended stays (1–2 weeks).
• Build knowledge of tower operations under a lead technician.
• Safely operate heavy machinery and hand tools.
• Participate in project planning with the team.
• Act professionally across diverse sites, including remote and construction areas.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
