Job summary

Harness Energy in Longmont, CO seeks a Field Technician I to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and dismantle wind and solar equipment across diverse U.S. locations. This travel-intensive role requires hands-on outdoor work, 1–2 week stays, and safe operation of heavy equipment.

You will join a safety-focused crew, learn tower operations under a lead technician, and grow through a clear career path from Tier I to Tier II and beyond, with competitive hourly pay and per diem when traveling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• On-the-job training provided for new hires.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and decommission meteorological towers or remote sensing units.
• Complete daily safety documentation to ensure a safe work environment.
• Log hours daily for DOT compliance and track time in ADP.
• Travel frequently to project sites for extended stays.
• Operate DOT-certified trucks and trailers safely.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Collaborate with lead technician on tower operations.
• Uphold professional conduct across diverse sites.
• Keep license valid and driving record clean.
