Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Field Engineering Technician to perform field inspections of utility poles across New England. This hourly, full-time role involves travel within CT, MA, NY, NH, collecting data, measurements, and photos, and coordinating with pole owners on attachment heights.

Responsibilities include documenting concerns for Leidos designers and meeting weekly goals with safety procedures and timely reporting. Training is provided, with occasional overnight stays and per diem support.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma and a STEM background.
• Experience in field data collection, measurements, and reporting.
• Ability to travel regionally and work outdoors year-round.

Responsibilities

• Travel across New England to inspect and photograph utility poles.
• Meet pole owners to determine attachment heights for new attachers.
• Document maintenance concerns for Leidos designers.
• Meet weekly goals set by supervisor; communicate progress.
