Description
Leidos is seeking a Field Engineering Technician to provide field inspections of utility poles across New England.
This is an HOURLY full-time role with hours contingent on availability of work.
The successful candidate will travel around New England (CT, MA, NY, NH) to collect data, field measurements, and photos of utility poles. This role will also include meeting with joint pole owners to determine appropriate attachment heights for new 3rd party attachers. These poles have maintenance concerns identified by our client in which our field engineers will document these concerns and collect the necessary data for Leidos designers to design their solutions and fixes. In general, travel will be limited on most weeks, but overnight stays are occasionally required depending on the workload. Technicians are expected to meet the goals / expectations set on a weekly basis by their supervisor and communicate their status / progress effectively. As fielding skills are learned, the potential for learning/performing design will be presented as well.
