Job summary

FlatironDragados' Intern Program Summer 2027 offers challenging work for civil engineering and construction management students. As a Field Engineer Intern, you will apply classroom knowledge on real projects at multiple site locations and assist the project team with engineering tasks, testing, and coordination.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar program at an accredited technical college or university.
• Strong willingness to learn and support on-site field activities.
• Familiarity with drawings, specifications, and cost code knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation of field conditions and acceptance testing.
• Support QA/QC engineering materials testing.
• Apply survey knowledge to assist with project layout and checking conformance to plans.
• Review project drawings and coordinate design changes.
• Provide document control for correspondence, submittals, and releases.
• Initiate engineering design clarifications.
• Assist with project scheduling and coordination with field staff.
• Support subcontractor field operations and verify contract payments.
• Provide design assistance for temporary structures using CAD tools.
