Job summary

FlatironDragados offers an Intern Program providing challenging field engineering work for undergraduates majoring in Civil, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management. You will apply academic training at project locations on-site and assist the project team with engineering practices, documentation, and scheduling.

You will gain hands-on experience in surveying, QA/QC testing, design clarifications, and on-site coordination, while following corporate policies and gaining practical

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program related to civil, mechanical engineering or construction management.
• Majors include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with on-site internship interest.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation of field conditions and acceptance testing
• Support QA/QC engineering materials testing
• Apply survey knowledge to assist with project layout and checking conformance with plans
• Review project drawings and coordinate design changes
• Provide document control assistance for correspondence and submittals
• Initiate engineering design clarifications
• Perform quantity tracking and productivity analysis
• Assist with preparing and updating project schedule and scheduling decisions
• Respond to field design clarifications and manage subcontractor field operations
• Provide design assistance to the project engineer for temporary structures using CAD tools
