FlatironDragados' Internship Program Summer 2027 in Red Oak, TX provides challenging early-career opportunities for civil engineering and construction management students. You will train with industry professionals on real projects and support on-site staff with field and design tasks.

As a Field Engineer Intern, you will learn plan interpretation, project specs, QA/QC, and schedule tracking while using CAD tools for temporary structures and design clarifications.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited engineering or construction management program.
• Knowledge of field conditions, plan interpretation, and project specs.
• Familiarity with CAD tools for temporary structures design.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field condition evaluation and acceptance testing.
• Support QA/QC engineering materials testing.
• Apply survey knowledge to project layout and checks.
• Review drawings and coordinate design changes.
• Provide document control for correspondence and submittals.
• Initiate engineering design clarifications.
• Track quantities and analyze productivity for efficiency.
• Assist with updating project schedule and scheduling decisions.
• Respond to field design clarifications and manage subcontractor field operations.
• Assist project engineer with temporary structure design using CAD tools.
