Job summary

FlatironDragados is offering a Summer 2027 Field Engineer Intern program in Arizona for civil engineering and construction management students. You will work on-site with project staff, applying engineering principles to real-world conditions and supporting the schedule and cost controls.

Interns gain exposure to plan interpretation, project specifications, and field testing, with guidance from Project Managers and Engineers and opportunities for mentorship.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited engineering or construction management program.
• Seeking students for a hands-on internship in field engineering and project support.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation of field conditions and acceptance testing.
• Support quality assurance and quality control engineering materials testing.
• Apply survey knowledge to assist with project layout and checking of work to confirm conformance with plans and specs.
• Review project drawings and coordinate design changes.
• Provide document control assistance for correspondence and submittals.
• Initiate engineering design clarifications.
• Perform quantity tracking and productivity analysis for operation efficiency.
• Assist with updating project schedule and coordinate scheduling decisions.
