Job summary

FlatironDragados invites you to join our Summer 2027 Internship Program in the Denver area. You will work with industry professionals and apply Civil Engineering and Construction Management knowledge on real projects at multiple locations, assisting the Project Manager and on-site staff.

You will perform field condition evaluations, QA/QC testing, surveying, design reviews, scheduling updates, and coordination with subcontractors as you gain hands-on experience on active jobs.

Qualifications

• Field Engineer Interns/Co-Ops must be enrolled in Engineering or Construction Management at an accredited program.
• Candidate should be able to apply academic training to real-world project settings.
• Strong interest in field engineering and on-site construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation of field conditions and acceptance testing.
• Support QA/QC engineering materials testing.
• Apply survey knowledge to assist with project layout and checks.
• Review project drawings and coordinate design changes.
• Provide document control assistance for correspondence and submittals.
• Initiate engineering design clarifications.
• Assist with updating project schedule and coordinating with scheduling teams.
• Support field operations and verify contract payments.
• Assist design of temporary structures using CAD tools.
