Job summary

FlatironDragados in Washington is offering a Summer 2027 Intern Program for college students majoring in Civil Engineering and Construction Management. You will work and train with industry professionals on real project sites, apply academic knowledge, and assist the project team in applying engineering techniques.

Interns will gain exposure to field conditions, documentation, layout, scheduling, and coordination with subcontractors, with a focus on quality, safety, and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Engineering, Construction Management or a similar program at an accredited technical college or university.
• Willingness to learn and apply academic knowledge on real projects.
• Ability to assist project team with on-site tasks and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation of field conditions and acceptance testing.
• Support QA/QC and materials testing.
• Apply survey knowledge for project layout and checking against plans.
• Review project drawings and coordinate design changes.
• Provide document control assistance for correspondence and submittals.
• Initiate engineering design clarifications.
• Track quantities and analyze productivity for operational efficiency.
• Assist with preparing/updating project schedule and coordination with scheduling team.
• Respond to field for design clarifications and manage subcontractor field operations.
